Here are some common questions about the PEI Wild Blueberry Growers Association.
How much does it cost to join the association

The cost to join the PEI Wild Blueberry Growers Association is $20 a year.

Is there a meeting I can attend?

The association holds an annual general meeting each April. Members will be informed of the meeting time and place.

Where can I get some blueberry recipes?

The PEI Wild Blue Growers Association maintains a site for consumers which carries information on wild blueberries including many recipes. You can visit the site at www.peiwildblueberries.com.

How do I find information about a specific weed?

At the top of each page is a menu item called “Weed Indentification” If you know the weed simply type its name into the search engine and that should bring up the proper search result. If you do not know the name of the weed, the data base is broken up into different categories such as Annual Broad Leaved or Woody Shrubs. Clicking on these sections will bring up blog entries on these type of weeds and allow you to make a visual indentification.

If you still cannot indentify the weed, take a picture of it and upload it to your computer. Now go to www.google.ca and select image from the menu. You can drag the picture of the weed into the search box and Google will try to find a matching image..

Where can I find information about weed and pest control?

This information is usually provided by the makers of these products and by government agencies. When we find relevent information we link to the fact sheets located on a site at www.factsheets.ca. It is a repository for factsheets and other information in pdf format.

Does the association have a newsletter?

We do indeed have a newsletter which we send out by e-mail. You can receive your copy by joining our mailing list. To make it even easier we have added a form right here.
