Yellow Sweet Clover
Melilotus officinalis (L.) Pall.
A tall, erect annual legume 0.5 to 2.0 m tall. Leaves are compound with 3 lance-shaped to oval leaflets. Small, yellow pea-like flowers are carried on 5 to 15 cm-long racemes that arise from ants of the upper leaves. The fruit is a small 2.5 to 3.5 cm pod. Blooms July and August.
