Black-Eyed Susan
Rudbecta hirta L. var. pulcherima Farw.
A hairy biennial to short-lived perennial with few branches, that may grow to 1 cm. Leaves are alternate and hairy. The flowers (up to 2.0 cm in diameter), are compound with the outer ray florets orange-yellow and the inner disc florets a dark brown. Flowers are often solitary on coarse, flower stalks. Blooms July and August.
