Bunchberry (Pigeon berry)
Cornus canadensis L.

Leaves are smooth, deep green with parallel veins meeting at the tip and are found in a whorl of 4 to 6, often with 2 smaller and opposite leaves below. The flower head is a terminal cluster of very, small white to green flowers that develops into a cluster of bright orange-red bemes. Four white, petal-like bracts occur below the flower cluster.
