Large-Leaved Lupine
Lupinus polyphyllus Lindl.
A stout plant growing up to 1.0 m tall. Leaves are palmately compound, with many leaflets. Flowers are found on tall terminal spikes or racemes and can be blue, yellow, white or pink in colour). The flowers have two types of petals, wing petals that are joined near the top and keel petals that have a long beak. The fruit is a pod with several seeds.
