Narrow-Leaved Goldenrod
Euthamia graminifolia (L.) Nutt. ex Cass.
An erect perennial to 1.0 m tall spreading by branching underground rhizomes often forming dense patches. Leaves are alternate, narrow and willow-like and have smooth margins. Yellow flower heads occur in small clusters that form a terminal flat-topped flowering head . Flowers are compound and ray florets lack distinct ‘petals’. Blooms in August and September.
