Solidago rugosa Ait. An erect and variable perennial up to 1.5 m tall (Fig. 1) with a leafy and hairy stem. The alternate leaves lack a distinct stalk and are broadly lance-shaped, sharply toothed and pinnately veined. The underside may be hairy.
