Sundrops
Oenothera perennis L.
An erect or arching perennial 5 to 80 cm tall and appears somewhat like evening primrose, but much smaller. At maturity the flowering head may be nodding and half the height of the plant. Flowers have 4 bright yellow petals and often appear nodding. The fruit is a 4-sided capsule. Blooms July to September.
