Three-toothed Cinquefoil
Potentilla tridentata Ait. A short, erect perennial 10 to 30 cm tall spreading from woody rhizomes). Leaves are a shiny, dark green and compound with three leaflets that are sharply toothed at the tip. The strawberry-like flower has 5 white petals and occurs in branched clusters. The fruit is a cluster of dry seed. Blooms in June and July.
